Honoured and deeply grateful to share that I was selected as a Finalist for Sime Darby Property’s Piala Seri Ibu Kraf 2026 under the Innovation Category.✨

In this piece, Rooted In Strength, I incorporated our Malaysian batik fabric into a contemporary painting — celebrating batik not only as textile, but as legacy. A tribute to our fabric artisans whose hands preserve stories through wax and dye, pattern and patience. Through this work, I honour both the craft and the women who embody strength, beauty, and cultural continuity.

The flowers adorning her head represent the many thoughts a woman carries — her dreams, responsibilities, emotions, and the countless roles she holds in her daily life. Each bloom symbolises the quiet strength it takes to nurture others while continuing to grow herself.

To see this narrative recognised on such a meaningful platform is truly humbling. Thank you for supporting my journey in celebrating heritage, womanhood, and the enduring strength within us all. Please visit KLGCC mall, Level 3 to see the piece.
