Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
1. Basics & Benefits
Q: What is an EcoWise Bio-Digester?
A: An EcoWise Bio-Digester is a compact, underground waste-treatment system made of reinforced concrete. It uses natural anaerobic bacteria to break down organic human waste into clear, odorless liquid effluent and minimal solid residual.
Q: How does it differ from a traditional septic tank?
A: Traditional septic tanks store untreated sewage and fill up rapidly, requiring constant, expensive vacuum tanker emptying (exhauster services). A bio-digester continuously treats the waste on-site, allowing treated liquid to safely soak into the ground, eliminating the need for frequent emptying.
Q: What are the main benefits of switching?
*Massive Cost Savings: Eliminates ongoing septic emptying bills.
*Odor-Free & Hygienic: Fully enclosed system prevents bad smells and insect breeding.
*Space-Saving: Requires a much smaller footprint than traditional septic tanks and soak pits.
*Durability: Built with high-strength reinforced concrete for decades of service.
2. Installation & Technical Specs
Q: How long does installation take?
A: Standard residential installation typically takes 1 to 2 days from excavation to final finishing because our reinforced concrete tanks are already moulded and available.
Q: Where can it be installed?
A: Because of its compact design and heavy-duty reinforced concrete build, it can be installed in residential yards, commercial premises, wetlands or dumb areas or places with limited space.
Q: What is included in the MWK 2.5 Million standard package?
A: The package covers full site preparation, excavation, high-grade reinforced concrete tank construction, essential bio-enzymatic starter , complete soakaway drainage installation, and professional labor.
3. Maintenance & Proper Use
Q: How much maintenance does the bio-digester require?
A: Very little. To keep the bacterial ecosystem healthy, add a biological enzymes refresher once every 2 to 3 years (500g) but this is optional because the beneficial bacteria inthe tank keep reproducing.
Q: Can I use regular household cleaning products?
A: Yes, standard household detergents, soaps, and mild disinfectants are fine. However, avoid dumping concentrated harsh chemicals (like raw bleach, acid drain openers, or heavy pesticides) directly into drains, as they can kill the beneficial bacteria.
Q: What items should NEVER go into the system?
A: Non-biodegradable materials such as plastic wrappers, sanitary pads, diapers, condoms, wet wipes, cigarette butts, and cooking grease/oil should never be flushed down toilets or drains.
4. Coverage & Bookings.
