Spring is on its way in Mauritius, bringing longer days, warmer weather… and plenty more aircon use. ☀️🇲🇺
With the new CEB tariff changes now in effect - that extra summer electricity use can quickly start showing on your monthly bill.

Installing solar before the hotter months means you can make better use of all the Mauritius sunshine! Generating more of your own electricity and relying less on the grid.

Rather than waiting for the summer bills to arrive, start planning now.

Solar should do more than just sit on your roof.
A well-designed system should work around how your property actually uses electricity, whether it is generating solar power when you need it, storing excess energy in your batteries and helping reduce your reliance on the grid.

And with smart monitoring, you can check exactly what your system is doing straight from the app. 📱☀️🔋

At GSI Solar, we take care of the full process, from system design and installation to commissioning and ongoing support.
Even better, our site visits and solar proposals are completely complimentary. No upfront consultation fee, no R7,000 proposal charge - just a proper assessment of your property and a clear recommendation on what will work best for you.

Thinking about upgrading your solar system? ☀️🔋
Many older systems are now approaching the end of their 5-year warranties, making it a good time to consider whether your current setup is still giving you the performance, safety and technology you need.

One of our clients recently upgraded from Sunsynk to Sigenergy - out with the old, in with the new.

Their upgraded system offers:
⚡ Brand-new system warranties
📱 Smarter technology, including AI-powered app features
🏠 A far more compact setup that uses less space
🛡️ Improved system safety
☀️ The ability to reuse existing solar panels where suitable
You may not need to replace your entire solar setup to benefit from newer technology.

If your current system is getting older, speak to GSI Solar about your upgrade options.

That empty roof space could be doing more for your business. ☀️

For hotels, offices, warehouses and other commercial properties in Mauritius, rooftop solar gives you the chance to generate electricity right where you use it. That can mean less reliance on the grid, better use of your available space and lower electricity costs over time.

At GSI Solar, we design commercial systems around your property, your energy usage and where your business is headed. From the initial site assessment and system design through to installation and aftercare, we handle the full process.
Make your roof work harder for your business.

Planning your Q3 or Q4 capital investment? Solar could help Mauritian businesses reduce more than just their electricity bill. ☀️📊

For qualifying Mauritian businesses and hotels, solar investment may offer tax benefits through capital allowances, while also lowering operating costs and supporting long-term net-zero targets. The CEB also offers renewable-energy schemes for eligible commercial customers, including its Carbon Neutral Commercial Sector scheme.

The right system can turn available roof space into a long-term business asset - but tax treatment and CEB eligibility depend on your company and project, so proper assessment matters.

Did you know? We can also assist with system upgrades, battery replacements and additional storage capacity for your existing solar system, even if it wasn't initially installed by us. As technology improves and energy needs change, your solar system may need to grow, which is one of the benefits of a well-designed, modular solution.

🔋☀️Here are 2x upgrades we've recently completed:
Project 1: We recently completed a hybrid system consisting of 1 x 5kw inverter, 1 x 5kwh BSL battery and 6 Ja solar 465w panels. This has cut our client's usage cost by 90%, whilst also protecting them from power outages.

Project 2: As more people make the switch to hybrid and electric vehicles, we're seeing more clients wanting to charge them using solar too. We recently upgraded two sites with EV chargers and additional battery storage, so our clients can charge their vehicles using solar and keep an eye on everything from the app.

Many of our clients have had their systems running well for quite some time now. After seeing significant savings, and with equipment prices currently at an all-time low, we’ve been busy with system additions, upgrades, and bringing even more power by the hour. ☀️⚡

Over the past two weeks, we’ve completed a number of upgrades and additions, from increasing battery capacity and updating older technology, to expanding systems as clients’ energy requirements continue to grow.

Your property’s energy needs can change over time, and we make sure your system changes with it. And because our systems are modular, they can grow with your property and energy needs over time.

Here are a few of the recent additions and upgrades we’ve been busy with:

Project 1: Battery Storage Upgrade 🔋
We added 5 additional batteries to this existing system, directly increasing the client’s energy savings to 95%.

Project 2: Battery Replacement Upgrade ⚡
This client upgraded to newer, more advanced battery technology, taking their solar production and overall savings to a whole new level.

👉 If your system is a few years old, now may be the perfect time for an upgrade assessment.
