Courtyard Manor: A home with a journey through light, water and greenery.
Inspired by the spatial character of traditional Sri Lankan courtyard houses, yet mixed with contemporary architecture the home unfolds as three distinct components—the main residence, guest wing and service wing—woven together by six open-to-sky courtyards, ponds and generous front and rear gardens.
Rather than forming a single built mass, the architecture becomes a journey through shade, water, greenery and open sky. Pitched clay-tiled roofs, deep overhangs, shaded verandahs and timber elements reinterpret tropical living through a refined contemporary language, drawing daylight, natural ventilation and landscape into everyday life.
