حسن فتحي معماري مصري جعل الإنسان نقطة البداية في التصميم. ركّز على توفير عمارة مريحة وقليلة الكلفة للمجتمعات البسيطة، وربط المباني بالمناخ والثقافة المحلية بدل الاعتماد الكامل على النماذج المستوردة.
في مشروع القرنة الجديدة، استخدم الطوب الطيني والقباب والقبوات والأفنية والتهوية الطبيعية لتقليل الحرارة وتحسين جودة الحياة. ترك إرثاً مهماً في العمارة المستدامة، وأثبت أن المواد المحلية يمكن أن تجمع بين الكفاءة والهوية وخدمة المجتمع.
Hassan Fathy was an Egyptian architect who placed people at the center of design. He focused on creating comfortable and affordable architecture for modest communities, connecting buildings to local climate and culture instead of relying entirely on imported models.
In New Gourna Village, he used mud brick, domes, vaults, courtyards, and natural ventilation to reduce heat and improve everyday living. His work became an important reference in sustainable architecture, showing how local materials can support efficiency, cultural identity, and community needs.
