Power is still the highest input cost for manufacturers in Kenya, without power cost rebate...we are looking at a tough future for manufacturers...Despite the huge initial financial capital that goes with investment in solar infrastructure, it is still the only sure hope for manufacturers especially as regards the independence of such systems

The rebate allows manufacturers to deduct a third of the total cost of power from corporation tax paid to the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA).
