Today, I had the honour of attending the grand opening of Bura Jamia Mosque, hosted by former Principal Secretary and Garissa County gubernatorial hopeful Amb. Abdi Dubat Fidhow, with Hon. Aden Duale, EGH, Cabinet Secretary for Health, gracing the occasion as the Chief Guest. The event was also attended by Amb. Ali Bunow Korane, former Governor of Garissa County, together with other leaders, elders, religious scholars and members of the community. As we celebrate the opening of this blessed house of Allah, I urge all our people to continue embracing peace, unity, tolerance and the noble teachings of Islam, which call us to live together with compassion, justice and mutual respect. I sincerely thank the people of Bura for their warm reception, hospitality and strong sense of community. May Allah (SWT) richly reward everyone who contributed towards the construction of Bura Jamia Mosque, whether through resources, time, prayers or effort. Today, I joined members of the Rer Harun family of the larger Abudwaq family in Warable Location, Fafi Constituency, for a special Deen gathering. It was a blessed occasion that brought together family members, elders, youth and the wider community in the spirit of faith, unity and brotherhood. Such gatherings strengthen our family bonds, deepen our faith and remind us of the values that continue to hold our families and communities together. May Allah (SWT) accept our gathering, strengthen our unity, bless our families, and grant peace, prosperity and goodness to the people of Fafi and beyond. Ameen.

Today, I had the honour of attending the Nikah ceremony of Anzal and Daud, joining their families, relatives, friends and well-wishers in celebrating the beginning of their beautiful journey together. The joyous occasion brought together Garissa County leaders, elders and members of the community to share in the happiness of the newlyweds. To Anzal and Daud, may Allah (SWT) bless your union, fill your home with love, mercy and tranquillity, and grant you a lifetime of happiness and abundant blessings. Today, I had the pleasure of joining members of the public, professionals, leaders and distinguished guests at Lantern Resort, Garissa, for the launch of The Cage, authored by Nimo Adan Yusuf. It was a wonderful occasion celebrating literature, knowledge and the courage to share ideas and stories that enrich our society. Among the distinguished guests present were Amb. Ali Bunow Korane, former Governor of Garissa County; Hon. Major Dekow Barrow, Member of Parliament for Garissa Township; and Amb. Shidiye, 2027 Garissa County gubernatorial candidate, alongside many other respected leaders and members of the community. I congratulate Nimo Adan Yusuf on this important achievement and wish her great success as The Cage reaches readers far and wide. As a community, we must continue encouraging our writers, scholars and young people to tell our stories and contribute to the intellectual growth of our society.

Today in Garissa, I had the honour of meeting our respected elder, Mzee Osman Haji Sanweine, to seek his blessings, guidance, and support for my 2027 candidature for Member of Parliament, Fafi Constituency. I am deeply grateful for his warm reception and for reaffirming his support for my candidature. The wisdom, prayers, and guidance of our elders remain invaluable as we continue building a united movement focused on service, fairness, and development for all the people of Fafi.
