【今日の現場】🏡

ベランダ・屋上の防水層の施工が完了した後の最終仕上げ工程「トップコート塗装」を行いました。
防水層そのものは紫外線（UV）に弱いため、このトップコートを塗布することで塗膜を保護し、防水性能の長寿命化を図ります。

今回は高耐久・耐候性に優れたトップコートを均一な膜厚で丁寧に入念仕上げ。
見えなくなる下地や防水層はもちろん、最後の1塗りで美観と耐久性をグッと高めていきます！

After completing the application of the main waterproofing layer, we moved on to the final and essential step: applying the protective topcoat.

While the waterproofing layer itself provides excellent leak protection, it is susceptible to UV degradation. Applying a high-durability acrylic polyurethane topcoat seals and shields the layer, ensuring long-lasting weather resistance.

We carefully apply the topcoat with precise thickness to ensure a smooth, seamless finish that enhances both durability and appearance.

Protecting properties in Okinawa against intense sunlight and harsh ocean air requires meticulous care at every stage—right down to the very last coat!

沖縄の家を守る！防水二層目＆トップコート施工の裏側 🛡️✨
「防水って何回も塗るの？」と思った方、
実はこの“重ね塗り”こそが長持ちの秘密なんです！
今回は沖縄塗装が手掛けるウレタン防水の「二層目」と「トップコート（保護膜）」の工程をお見せします。

一見、スイスイ塗っているように見えるかもしれませんが…
実は専用の道具を使って、ミリ単位の厚みを均一に出していく、超・感覚の世界なんです。

沖縄の紫外線はとにかく強力。塗膜が少しでも薄いと、数年で劣化の原因になってしまいます。だからこそ、感覚を研ぎ澄ませて「規定の塗膜厚」をしっかり作り込む。

仕上げには、紫外線からウレタンを守る**「アクリルウレタン系トップコート」を中毛ローラー**で圧着しながら美しく塗り上げます。

Greetings from the site! It’s the team at Okinawa Painting.
Today, we’re sharing a look at the most delicate phase of our waterproofing process: applying the second coat of polyurethane waterproofing and the final topcoat.

It might look like we're just smoothly spreading paint, but it actually requires high precision. We use a specialized notched squeegee (giza-rack) and a steel trowel to achieve a perfectly uniform thickness down to the millimeter.

The sun in Okinawa is incredibly harsh. If the membrane is even a little too thin, it can lead to deterioration in just a few years. That’s why we rely on our craftsmanship to ensure the exact required dry film thickness (DFT).
To finish, we apply an acrylic polyurethane topcoat using a medium-nap roller, pressing it firmly into the surface.
This creates a protective shield that defends the polyurethane layer from severe UV rays.

屋上防水で実は一番雨漏りリスクが高いのが、この「パラペット（立ち上がり）の根元部分」なんです👀💡

平面の防水層をしっかり施工しても、端っこに隙間があると台風や大雨の時にそこから水が侵入してしまいます。だからこそ、この「縁」のコーキング（シーリング）充填が超重要！

今回は職人が目地へシーリング材を充填し、ヘラで綺麗に押さえて仕上げる工程を撮影しました🎥✨

プロのこだわりポイント👇
・プライマー処理：密着性を高めるための下準備を徹底
・ヘラでの脱泡・密着：空気をしっかり抜いて均一に圧着
・材料：高グレードなウレタン・変性シリコン系を使用

建物を長持ちさせる秘密は、こうした細かい「端部処理」に詰まっています！

Did you know? The base of the parapet (the perimeter wall) is actually the highest-risk area for leaks on a rooftop! 👀💡

Even with a solid waterproof layer on the main roof surface, any small gap along the edges will allow water to seep in during heavy rains or typhoons.
That’s why caulking (sealing) these edges is absolutely critical!In this video, we captured our craftsman carefully injecting sealant into the joint and smoothing it out with a spatula for a clean, durable finish 🎥✨

【外壁塗装は下地づくりが命】

今回はシーラー塗布（下塗り）と中塗り（仕上げ塗料1回目）の施工です。
外壁塗装は「色を塗ること」が目的と思われがちですが、本当に大切なのは塗料がしっかり密着し、長持ちする状態をつくることです。

▼シーラー（下塗り）
外壁と塗料をしっかり密着させる接着剤のような役割があります。
下地の吸い込みを抑え、塗膜の剥がれやムラを防ぎます。

外壁のひび割れ補修や下地補修を行った後、そのまま塗装をすると補修箇所だけが目立ってしまうことがあります。

そこで行うのが「模様付け工程」です。

既存の外壁模様に合わせて吹付けを行い、補修した部分と周囲の外壁との違和感をできるだけなくしていきます。
