Today, March 11th is the 10th year after the Great East Japan Earthquake and Tsunami. It gives us an opportunity to think about what we have done and what we could not have done. It reminds us of “what has to be done”, as Chris Wainwright cited the words of Joseph Beuys.
We started “Future lab Tohoku” , soon after the disaster to restore the mind of people and landscape affected by this catastrophe, with friends from all over the world. And we have worked with the people in Kamaishi city.
We worked for the reconstruction of the mind in the affected area, but we have learned so much there. We came to think here is our home of mind.
We would like to share what we have done with friends and the public, so as to rethink our 10 years and the coming 10 years; to remember 3/11 and to send a message for 3/12, the day that we step forward and create together.
