This is Xia. It may look small, but it delivers significant savings on your energy bills—up to 70%. Air conditioners can account for as much as 90% of your energy consumption. Our goal with Xia was to create a device that saves energy on an unprecedented scale while maintaining user comfort and being easy to install and operate. Xia is a two-part system featuring a motion detector and a door sensor that communicate wirelessly. High-intensity Infra Red LED allow it to operate ACs from almost any angle, even from up to 7 meters away. Xia is also battery-powered, lasting over a year per battery change. All this makes Xia 100% wireless, eliminating the need to tap into electrical wiring.
We are currently in one of our client’s Airbnb apartments, where I’ll demonstrate how Xia functions and how easy it is to set up. All you need to do is point the existing AC remote at Xia and save the signal. You can then install Xia either on the ceiling or the wall, positioning it towards the AC unit. It only requires one screw or even just double-sided tape. The other component is a door sensor that’s installed on the door to detect when someone leaves the apartment. When this happens, a wireless signal is sent to the main unit to check for occupancy. If no one is detected after a set time, an infrared signal is sent to the AC to turn it off. Xia stands apart from other energy-saving devices by being fully automatic. Unlike card-based systems found in hotels, it cannot easily be bypassed. Thank you for watching the video.
