CAP Solution is the first automatic dynamic covering system in the world to protect orchard from rain, hail and wind. CAP Solution is covered globally by 5 PCT patents. It was originally designed for cherries but the market interest expanded the application to table grapes, kiwi and berries. The plastic sheets and/or net opening and closing is triggered automatically by motors. Sheets are extended or folded by 2 motors which can trigger from 1 to 3-4 lines at a time. Weather and climate sensors track all the relevant climate parameters under and outside the orchard. Farmer can access real time weather parameters and/or historical data on a web application. Main general benefits are:
1. Protection against weather agents (hail, rain, snow, wind)
2. Creation of the best thermohygrometric conditions in order to avoid infections and diseases
3. Improvement of good ventilation which allow the exchange of a lot of air quickly to stop extreme fluctuations in temperature
4. Optimal gas exchange creation, controlling and avoiding maximum condensation.
