🏢 FROM BLOCK TO BUILDING — LUKOIL TASHKENT
Some projects stay in your memory for many years.
This is one of them.
For the LUKOIL Head Office project in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, our work started with the selection and approval of Dark Emperador Gold marble — and continued with block selection, production and project supply.
The scope was substantial:
▪️ Approx. 2,000 m² of Dark Emperador Gold façade cladding
▪️ 3 containers of massive custom-made elements
▪️ Complex architectural profiles produced to drawings
▪️ Stone elements for the façade, stairs and fountains
But volume was only part of the challenge.
The project had a very tight deadline, while some of the massive shaped elements required complex production. To keep the schedule, production had to be coordinated across several factories simultaneously.
Different factories.
Different elements.
One project.
One deadline.
This is the part of natural stone projects that the finished building never shows.
Behind every façade there are blocks to select, drawings to understand, production to organize, dimensions to control, factories to coordinate and deadlines to meet.
Years later, I still enjoy looking at the finished building.
Because for me it is not simply Dark Emperador marble.
I remember the whole journey behind it.
