🇮🇹 13 piccoli momenti dello scambio giovanile Erasmus+ Donkey Man Walking, raccontati direttamente dai ragazzi e dalle ragazze che lo hanno vissuto! 🫏💚

Anche avendo già avuto diverse esperienze all'Ostello, la percezione durante questo scambio non è stata per nulla la stessa. Il vedere persone nuove in questo spazio ci ha fatto ve**re voglia di metterci in gioco e provare ad aiutare, cosa che ci ha permesso di imparare e scoprire cose nuove sugli asini e la vita in Ostello.
Ho avuto modo di capire meglio com'è stare in un gruppo e come, anche parlando livelli di inglese diversi e quindi non essendo sempre possibile capirsi del tutto, sia importante provare a includere tutti: a volte basta un piccolo gesto come una traduzione o il “Bora Bora”.
Oltre alla relazione con le persone ho coltivato più a fondo anche quella con gli asini e ho imparato quanto sia importante la fiducia reciproca, come del resto lo è tra le persone.

Ho adorato poter far parte di questo scambio Erasmus+. Non è scontato avere l'opportunità di parteciparci!
È da quando ho un anno di età che ogni anno torno qui con la voglia di passare ormai la mia abituale settimana all'Ostello; quest'anno però è stato diverso! L'ho sentito un sacco, mi sono sentita molto più libera e sono riuscita anche a rincontrare amici che non vedevo da un po'. Del gruppo italiano non posso davvero lamentarmi, è davvero unico!
Ditemi voi che matti farebbero 10 giri di corsa di un campo da calcio dopo aver camminato tutto il giorno?? Beh, ve lo dico io: noi :)
Abbiamo dormito su 2 amache in 6 con solo 2 sacchi a pelo e a Ospitaletto fa davvero freddissimo. Abbiamo anche dormito sulla paglia tutta la notte solo per riuscire a guardare le stelle.
Dopo il cibo delle notti in tenda sono probabilmente composta al 50% di couscous alla fragola (maledetto kitchen team haha).

Even though I had already had several experiences at the Ostello, this youth exchange felt completely different. Seeing new people in this place made us want to get involved and try to help, which allowed us to learn and discover new things about the donkeys and life at the Ostello.
I had the chance to better understand what it means to be part of a group and how, even when people have different levels of English and it isn't always possible to fully understand each other, it is important to try to include everyone. Sometimes a small gesture is enough, like translating something or a “Bora Bora”.
Besides my relationship with the other people, I also developed a deeper relationship with the donkeys and learned how important mutual trust is, just as it is between people.

I loved being part of this Erasmus+ youth exchange. Having the opportunity to take part in something like this shouldn't be taken for granted!
I've been coming back here every year since I was one year old to spend what has now become my usual week at the Ostello, but this year was different! I really felt it. I felt much freer and I also got to meet again some friends I hadn't seen for a while. And I definitely can't complain about the Italian group – it's truly unique!
Tell me, what kind of crazy people would run 10 laps around a football field after walking all day?? Well, I'll tell you: us :)
Six of us slept on two hammocks with only two sleeping bags, and Ospitaletto is seriously freezing at night. We also slept on straw for the whole night just so we could watch the stars.
After the food we ate during the nights in tents, I'm probably 50% strawberry couscous by now (damn kitchen team haha).
I've lost my voice – probably because I laughed too much or sang too much at karaoke the other night. I probably sang every Disney song there is.
I really loved spending time with the other national groups. They are some of the most cheerful people I've ever met. The Greeks can't go more than 10 seconds without dancing or singing, and the French can't wear a cap unless it's backwards – and it's also because of these funny little details that I loved them so much.
