Roots.

Roots as support.
Roots as nourishment.
Roots as transmission and interconnection.

Roots anchor us to the Earth, but they are also an organ of interconnection within the body. This interconnection helps us become more aware of our energy — how it moves, where it disperses, and how we can preserve and nourish it.

Because grounding is not only about stability. It is also about learning how to contain energy without blocking it, how to remain connected while continuing to expand.

In Feng Shui, a space that anchors us — a space where Qi is contained and protected — becomes the foundation for feeling safe and for truly prospering.

Only in a space where we can relax because we feel safe can we allow ourselves to feel deeply and go further into perception.
And so, first of all, we create these conditions within the body.

Tonight we continue exploring grounding, support, containment, and deep sensing through movement.

Come and experience QiMotion through your own body and movement.

Balance is the ability to remain in movement.

To remain in movement by working with the forces at play, learning how to modulate them while staying connected to our central axis.

Whenever we feel confused, scattered, or out of focus, we begin again from below — from the interaction between our two feet, between right and left, between expansion and gathering, between tuning inward and outward.

All of this serves one purpose:
to preserve and nourish movement, the flow of energy within us, and the flow of events around us.

The theme of balance is central in Feng Shui, where relationship itself becomes a space of interaction.

When a space is dominated by an excessive presence that overwhelms everything else, or when something essential is missing, balance needs to be restored.

But balance is never static.

It happens through a dynamic sequence — just like our feet while walking. From the right we move to the left, and through this alternation energy is not lost, but regenerated, because the two sides work together.

Each opposite exists to reactivate the other.
Yin awakens Yang. Yang nourishes Yin.
Shadows nourish the light, and the light reveals the beauty of shadows.

Movement continues because opposites remain in relationship.

In QiMotion, we explore balance not as stillness, but as a living and dynamic dialogue within the body — first through direct experience in our own body, in order to understand how these same forces act within space.

Today we dance the Earth element.

Today we dance the roots — the roots that allow us to descend into our body and awaken all the senses connected to our instinctive nature.

The roots that allow us to come into contact with stability, with grounding, with that feeling of safety that arises when we truly feel at home within our own body.

These same roots give us a sense of practicality, balance, and relationship with the external world — starting from a solid grounding within ourselves.

In Feng Shui, the Earth element is expressed through stable forms such as the square, through earthy colors, and through all materials connected to the Earth itself, such as terracotta and clay.

Earth absorbs.
Earth receives.
Earth allows us to release tension.

When we create a continuous and harmonious exchange with the Earth, the body begins to find balance again.

In QiMotion, we explore the Earth element through movement, grounding, breath, weight, and presence — allowing the body to reconnect with its natural center of stability and support.

More Spirals, please.

The body naturally loves spirals. The breath moves in spirals. Qi moves in spirals. Nature moves in spirals. Our DNA carries a spiral structure within itself.

From galaxies to shells, from water currents to the unfolding of plants, spiral movement appears wherever life is allowed to flow freely.

A spiral is the union of a circular movement and a linear movement. Yin and Yang coming together. It is also the meeting between circular time and linear time — an evolutionary movement that respects the cycles of life while continuing to grow through experience.

Unlike rigid movement, the spiral distributes force through the whole body. It connects center and periphery, softness and strength, expansion and gathering. A spiral never truly stops, it transforms, it continues, it returns while moving forward.

The spiral carries the energy of new life.

Even birth itself follows a spiral movement. When a baby emerges from the mother’s womb, it naturally moves through spiraling dynamics — an evolutionary movement that introduces the body into the new.

In Feng Shui, we know that Qi flows more harmoniously through curved and sinuous pathways. Sharp interruptions disperse energy, while spirals and curves help Qi circulate, connect, and nourish the surrounding space.

The same happens within the body.

When movement becomes spiral, the body begins to reorganize itself in a more harmonious way. Tension softens, the joints open, movement becomes continuous, alive, nourishing.

In QiMotion, we explore spiral movement as a principle of life already present within us — one that awakens our sense of harmony and balance, and teaches us to step out of the center of control and enter the flow, allowing ourselves to be guided by the natural energy of the moment.

Spiral movement.
A harmonizing force.

In our next QiMotion session, we will explore spiral movement and its harmonizing potential.

Qi moves according to certain principles:
it moves from the center toward the periphery and back, connecting everything. It follows an oscillating rhythm, alternating expansion and gathering.

From this rhythm, the spiral emerges.

Spiral movement is the result of the continuous alternation of Yin and Yang, in a continuous, effortless, self-generating motion.
In Feng Shui, when we observe the movement of Qi into a space, we take into account this natural tendency.

In the same way, when we design a path or a walkway, we know that a sinuous form allows Qi to flow more harmoniously, creating nourishment for the surrounding space.

Spirals also have a beneficial effect on the body:
they allow the body to reach greater extension and depth,
giving rise to a creative flow that, when well distributed, becomes a fluid and sinuous dance.

In our next session, we will experience spiral movement directly,
learning to sense and follow the flow of Qi that can animate our movement — creative, aware, and connected.

✨ Come and explore this through your own body and movement.
Come and experience QiMotion for yourself.

Yin and Yang in directions.

The primary directions are:
up / down, forward / backward, right / left.

To these we can add another essential polarity:
from inside to outside/from outside to inside.

In Feng Shui, every direction always has its opposite counterpart. It reveals a pair of opposing forces in relationship — approaching and receding, expanding and gathering, maintaining the living tension between two poles.

When we observe a house in Feng Shui, we consider its Facing and its Sitting in relation to one another. When we evaluate the protection of the Four Celestial Animals in the landscape, we consider the relationship between Black Turtle and Red Phoenix, between Azure Dragon and White Tiger.

This same principle of synergistic interconnection between opposites can be deeply perceived in our body through movement.
Every gesture, every shift of weight, every breath expresses itself along an axis of space. And while movement travels toward one direction, the opposite direction remains its counterpart — active, though more Yin. It participates in the movement, counterbalancing it without obstructing it — on the contrary, helping it to expand:

To move upward implies rooting downward.
To move forward implies support behind.
To reach outward implies connection inward.

Movement in one direction is an expansion along an axis, while still maintaining a primary direction toward which it is directed.

Its return becomes gathering and replenishment.
Its alternation creates rhythm and accord.
Its balance creates harmony and vitality.

In QiMotion, we explore these principles directly through the body.
By using the axes of space and within ourselves, movement becomes clearer, more alive, and more aware. The body learns orientation and we experience within the body the power of opposites working together in synergy to generate movement.

Come and explore these mysterious and powerful principles through your own body and movement. Come and experience QiMotion for yourself. You are welcome!

Soft mind.

A state in which the mind is calm enough to perceive things without weighing them down.

A mind that does not grasp, over-interpret, or tighten around experience.

When the mind softens, presence can return to the body.
Breath becomes clearer. Movement becomes more natural. Awareness becomes spacious.

Tonight, in QiMotion – Exploring Feng Shui Principles through Creative Movement, we open a doorway to the Upper Dantian (上丹田 – Shang Dantian).

Often associated with the space of the forehead and the inner field of perception, the upper dantian relates to clarity, vision, insight, and consciousness.

It is not only the place of thinking, but the place of clear seeing.
When this center is tense or overactive, the mind can become crowded, restless, disconnected from the body.

When it softens and opens, thought becomes lighter, perception more subtle, and awareness more spacious.

The three dantians support one another.

The lower dantian (下丹田 – Xia Dantian) roots us, gathers Qi, and gives stability.
The middle dantian (中丹田 – Zhong Dantian) opens feeling, resonance, and relationship.
The upper dantian (上丹田 – Shang Dantian) refines awareness and allows clear perception.

Without the lower dantian, the upper can become ungrounded.
Without the middle dantian, clarity can lose warmth and connection. When all three communicate, body, heart, and mind begin to move as one.

Tonight we explore how a soft mind can arise not by forcing the mind to be quiet, but by reconnecting it with the body and the flow of Qi.

You are warmly welcome to join us.
