We are proud to share that the U.S. Green Building Council has awarded LEED Gold Certification to the Male Residence Facility at the American University of Kurdistan.

This achievement highlights AUK’s commitment to sustainability and reflects the dedication and teamwork behind this milestone.

As the first building in Iraq to receive LEED Gold Certification, the MRF represents a significant step forward in advancing environmentally responsible construction and sustainable practices in the country.

It was a pleasure to participate in the Kurdistan Inclusive Employment & Business Forum, organized by the Kurdistan Foundation in collaboration with GIZ.

Events like this demonstrate the importance of building stronger connections between education, industry, and the labor market to create more inclusive employment opportunities.

As universities, we are committed to supporting our youth, students, and alumni by preparing them with the knowledge, skills, and opportunities they need to succeed. We proudly stand with the next generation, empowering them to become the future leaders, innovators, and professionals who will shape Kurdistan’s future.
