لماذا يُمنع استخدام الأسمنت في ترميم المباني التراثية؟ 🏛️

في مشروع ترميم بيت السياب، نلتزم بالمعايير الدولية لحفظ التراث عبر استخدام المواد التقليدية مثل "الجص والنورة" لتسمح للجدران بالتنفس وتتحمل حرارة ورطوبة البصرة، بعيداً عن الأسمنت الذي يحبس الرطوبة ويتلف الجدران.

Why is cement forbidden in heritage building restoration? 🏛️

At the Al-Sayyab House restoration project, we strictly adhere to international standards by using traditional materials like gypsum and lime. These materials allow the walls to breathe and withstand Basra’s heat and humidity, unlike cement which traps moisture and damages historical masonry.

Another milestone for Alwatad United in restoring the historic “Al-Sayyab House” ceiling in Basra. We replaced the old deteriorated wood with high-durability, modern engineered “Jandal”—preserving cultural heritage with advanced, long-lasting technology.
