17000 subsidy on solar in Rajasthan
The Rajasthan government is offering an additional subsidy of ₹17,000 to consumers who install indigenous solar panels underthe Pradhan Mantri Suryaghar Free Electricity Scheme. This subsidy can be up to ₹17,000 for installing solar panels up to 1.1 kilowatts. This amount is in addition to the subsidy provided by the central government. This scheme has not yet been implemented, as the Finance Department is examining the Energy Department's proposal.

Amount: Additional subsidy up to ₹17,000.Eligibility:Those consumers who install solar panels under the Prime Minister Suryaghar Free Electricity Scheme.This subsidy is forindigenous or domestic solar panels and will not be applicable on foreign or imported panels.Additional benefits:A subsidy of up to ₹33,000 can be availed from the Central Government, taking the total subsidy to up to ₹50,000.A smart meter will also be provided free of cost.Beneficiaries: The beneficiaries of Rajasthan Chief Minister Free Electricity Scheme (100 units free) will get special benefits.Scheme Status: Despite the announcement by the Chief Minister, the scheme has not been implemented yet.
