PFRDA organised the APY Felicitation Programme and Strategy Review Meeting for the West Zone in Mumbai.

The programme featured an inaugural address by Mr. Ruby Vinayak Bhaosagar, AGM, PFRDA, who highlighted APY’s growth and emphasised the importance of quality, persistency and effective subscriber servicing.

Ms. Sumeet Kaur Kapoor, ED, PFRDA, delivered the keynote address and congratulated the participating Banks, SLBCs and LDMs for their contribution towards strengthening APY.

Mr. Pravesh Kumar, CGM, PFRDA, presented an overview of APY’s journey and key performance insights.

The Award Distribution Ceremony was conducted by Mr. Nishant Anand, Manager, PFRDA, followed by a performance review and strategic discussion led by Mr. Ruby Vinayak Bhaosagar.

PFRDA, in collaboration with SLBC Bihar, organised Atal Pension Yojana (APY) Outreach Programme and Strategy Review Meeting in Patna, bringing together senior representatives from SLBC, NABARD, SRLM, banks, LDMs, CSPs, SHGs, BCs and valued bank customers.

The programme commenced with a keynote address by Mr. Pravesh Kumar, CGM, PFRDA, followed by an informative presentation by Ms. Shivika Singhal, AGM, PFRDA, highlighting APY’s key features, enrolment process and progress.

The session also featured an interactive Q&A, performance review of banks and LDMs, and discussions on strengthening APY outreach. Banks and LDMs were felicitated with awards and certificates in recognition of their valuable contributions towards expanding pension coverage.

The programme reaffirmed the collective commitment of stakeholders towards advancing pension awareness and strengthening financial security across Bihar.

Taking the APY journey forward, the North Zone edition of the APY Felicitation Programme and Strategy Review Meeting in New Delhi brought together key stakeholders to recognise their contributions, review APY’s progress and deliberate on strategies to further strengthen pension outcomes.

The State Level Atal Pension Yojana (APY) Outreach Program was conducted by SLBC Karnataka in Mysuru on 8 July 2026, bringing together banks and key stakeholders to strengthen APY outreach across the state.

Mr. Pravesh Kumar, CGM, PFRDA, delivered the keynote address, highlighting strategies to accelerate APY enrolment and deepen pension awareness. Mr. Ajay Kumar Podishetty, AM, PFRDA, conducted a detailed review of APY performance in the state, addressed queries from participating banks, and encouraged focused efforts towards achieving the FY 2026–27 targets.

PFRDA continues to strengthen pension awareness through collaborative outreach initiatives.

Ms. Sumeet Kaur Kapoor, ED, PFRDA along with Mr. Ruby Vinayak Bhaosagar, AGM,PFRDA, Mr. Nishant Anand, Manager,PFRDA and Mr. Deepak Kumar, AGM, SLBC Himachal Pradesh, visited the Directorate of Mushroom Research (DMR), Solan, to explore avenues for promoting the National Pension System (NPS) and Atal Pension Yojana (APY) among mushroom cultivators across the country.

The discussions focused on integrating pension awareness into DMR's training programmes and collaborating with mushroom cultivator associations, with the support of SLBC Himachal Pradesh, to expand financial literacy and encourage long-term retirement planning.

The Atal Pension Yojana (APY) Outreach Programme was successfully organised by SLBC Himachal Pradesh and LDM Office, Solan, reaffirming the collective commitment to strengthening awareness and expanding the reach of APY across the state.

The programme was chaired by Ms. Sumeet Kaur Kapoor, ED, PFRDA, and was graced by Shri Kamal Sharma, DGM, UCO Bank & Convenor, SLBC Himachal Pradesh, and Shri Jaswinder Singh Aujla, DGM-FIDD, Reserve Bank of India (RBI). During the programme, Ms. Sumeet Kaur Kapoor delivered the keynote address, while Shri Ruby Vinayak Bhaosagar, AGM, PFRDA, made a detailed presentation on APY, followed by a review of banks and an interactive Q&A session to address queries from service providers and subscribers.

The programme witnessed active participation from bankers, Business Correspondents (BCs), SHG members, Financial Literacy Centres (FLCs), subscribers, local media and other stakeholders. It also included the felicitation of top-performing banks from Solan district, reinforcing the collective commitment to enhancing APY enrolment and strengthening social security through the Atal Pension Yojana.

The Atal Pension Yojana (APY) Annual Felicitation Programme was successfully held on 20th May 2026 in New Delhi.

The programme was graced by Shri M. Nagaraju, Secretary, Department of Financial Services, as the Chief Guest. The event witnessed the presence of Shri S. Ramann, Chairperson, PFRDA, Ms. Mamta Shankar, Member (Economics), Shri Sanjay Pandey, Member (Finance), Shri Samir Kumar, Economic Adviser, Ms. Sumeet Kaur Kapoor, Executive Director, PFRDA along with MD & CEOs, senior officials from Public Sector Banks, Regional Rural Banks, Private Banks, Cooperative Banks, SLBCs, and representatives from the Department of Financial Services and the banking fraternity.

The welcome address was delivered by Ms. Mamta Shankar, Member (Economics), followed by the Chairperson’s address by Shri S. Ramann. The keynote address by Shri M. Nagaraju acknowledged the collective efforts of PFRDA and banking partners in expanding the reach of APY across the country. During the programme, a new APY video was also launched by the Chief Guest.

An insightful presentation on APY and its progress was delivered by Shri Pravesh Kumar, CGM & Head - Financial Inclusion (APY).

The event also featured an award presentation ceremony recognising Public Sector Banks, Regional Rural Banks, Private Banks, Cooperative Banks, and SLBCs for achieving their annual targets during FY 2025–26. Awards were additionally presented to the top 5 Lead District Managers (LDMs) and top 5 branches across the country for their exceptional contribution towards APY enrolments. State Bank of India received a special recognition for achieving the milestone of 2 crore gross enrolments under APY since inception.

A dedicated session on successful strategies and the future roadmap of APY was conducted by Shri Ruby Vinayak Bhaosagar, AGM, where senior bankers and SLBC convenors shared valuable experiences and best practices from the field.

The programme was anchored by Ms. Shivika Singhal, AGM, and Shri Ajay Kumar Podishetty, AM, and concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Shri Sudhir Singh, DGM.
