We are looking for an experienced Laser Physicist to lead the development of high-power DPSS Nd:YAG laser systems, from concept through laboratory prototype and system integration.
*Key Responsibilities*
Lead the design, development, and construction of DPSS Nd:YAG laser systems.
Design laser resonators, pump configurations, Q-switching, thermal management, and beam-delivery optics.
Select and integrate laser diodes, Nd:YAG gain media, optical components, electronics, and cooling systems.
Establish and build a laser development laboratory, including optical benches, measurement equipment, laser safety infrastructure, and test procedures.
Perform laser alignment, characterization, optimization, and troubleshooting.
Measure pulse energy, pulse width, beam profile, M², divergence, stability, and efficiency.
Manage external suppliers and work closely with mechanical, electronic, optical, and system engineering teams.
Document the design, test results, specifications, and development process.
*Required Qualifications*
M.Sc. or Ph.D. in Physics, Applied Physics, Optics, Electro-Optics, or a related field.
Strong hands-on experience with solid-state lasers, preferably DPSS Nd:YAG.
Experience designing and building pulsed/Q-switched laser systems.
Strong understanding of laser resonators, nonlinear optics, thermal effects, beam propagation, and laser diagnostics.
Ability to independently lead a laser development project and laboratory activity.
Strong hands-on laboratory and problem-solving capabilities.
*Preferred Experience*
High-energy nanosecond lasers.
