𝐀𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐑𝐨𝐥𝐞:
The Port of Cork Apprenticeship Programme combines hands-on workplace experience with structured off-the-job training through SOLAS and approved training providers.
Typically taking four years to complete, the programme is designed to give apprentices the skills, knowledge and experience needed to become qualified craftspeople, while working towards a nationally recognised craft qualification.
School leavers, mature applicants, career changers and those looking for a practical, hands-on route into employment are all encouraged to apply.
𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐖𝐞 𝐀𝐫𝐞 𝐋𝐨𝐨𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐅𝐨𝐫:
- Enthusiastic and motivated individuals with a willingness to learn and develop new skills
- Good problem-solving abilities and the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- A genuine interest in your chosen apprenticeship trade
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A practical, responsible and safety-conscious approach to work
- An interest in working in a unique port environment, including at heights, on floating craft and across a wide range of operational locations
- Eligibility to meet the entry requirements of the relevant SOLAS apprenticeship programme

- Apprenticeship salary
