We were delighted to send a member of our team to the first Constructing Equality Ireland roundtable at the Castleknock Hotel.

The event brought together voices from across the construction sector to explore how we can collectively encourage, recruit, and support more women in construction. Thanks to our ongoing commitment to creating a balanced, inclusive workplace, we have built our female workforce up to around 20%, and we remain dedicated to opening up further pathways within our business.

It was a valuable opportunity to share insights and hear different perspectives from passionate professionals around the table.

Ongoing traffic management services and equipment hire for Wills Bros Group for the R498 Latteragh Road Realignment Scheme in Co. Tipperary.

The project involves realigning 4.3 km of the regional corridor, including 1.8 km of new offline roadway and two river bridge structures. Having supported the project since November 2025, our team provides a full range of traffic management services and equipment to keep operations running safely as works progress toward completion in May 2027.

We maintain a dedicated crew on-site every week, delivering Stop/Go systems, temporary Traffic Lights, and road narrowing setups to keep traffic moving safely. To secure the site boundary, we deployed a significant equipment package, including 900 metres of Massguard barrier fitted with high fence panels, 16 temporary Traffic Light units, and over 500 traffic cones.

Great effort by our crews on delivering consistent safety standards across a large-scale regional infrastructure project.

Traffic management support for Killeen Civil Engineering as part of an ongoing project to convert an existing roundabout into a traffic light system.

Since works began in July, our team has provided a wide range of services, starting with a 24/7 road closure setup. Across both day and night shifts, we have deployed crews of around 10 operatives to manage Stop/Go systems, road narrowing, and dedicated pedestrian marshalling, alongside over 300 metres of Massguard barrier hire to secure the site.

We are proud of our continued partnership with Killeen Civil Engineering and their sister company, Arkil Ltd. We look forward to continuing our support on this major junction upgrade through to Christmas.

Stop/Go works recently completed for our long-time client Cairn Construction on Clonliffe Road, right beside Croke Park.

Having maintained an active presence in the area for several months, our crew took control of the junction at the newly constructed Maldron Hotels & Partners while SWARCO temporarily switched off the permanent traffic lights.

A 5-operative crew ensured complete site safety while minimising disruption for all road users.

Following a truck collision that damaged a critical bridge structure, our team stepped in to carry out an emergency barrier installation on the M1. Working through the night in collaboration with (GKT) Gary Keville Transport Ltd, we supplied and deployed 84 metres of protective Barrierguard to secure the site, safeguard the damaged bridge and protect oncoming road users.

With the volume of our high speed works nearly tripling over the last year, our highly skilled and experienced team continues to ensure safety in these critical and demanding environments.

The installation will remain in place for the next two to three months while repair work takes place.

A big thank you to our client, Northlink, for turning to us once again for their traffic management needs, and to our dedicated crew for their hard work.

Line marking recently completed for Randalswood Construction Ltd at a new residential development in Maynooth. To ensure a clean finish and maximum durability across the site, we used specialised materials and application methods tailored to the different surfaces.

For high-traffic areas like stop junctions, we utilised thermoplastic paint for maximum longevity. For dedicated accessible parking bays, the team brought in our Graco LineLazer precision system to achieve crisp edge definition and long-lasting colour retention.

Round-the-clock safety for GMC Utilities Group on behalf of Uisce Éireann Irish Water
Our team has been running a 24/7 traffic management setup for the past three weeks in Maynooth, Co Kildare. We’re maintaining a 3-way Stop & Go flow using two automated stop/go boards, while 147 metres of massguard steel barrier were installed to keep the GMC crew completely protected from live traffic day and night.

At GKTM, we take pride in continually investing in the latest technology, whether that means equipment and machinery, or training, development and software to support our operations.

Over the last few weeks, we have been educating our staff on the basics of AI and how to use this emerging technology safely and responsibly, with compliance remaining a top priority. We are also exploring how AI can help us streamline our operations, improve efficiencies and support our teams.
