We are looking for Fitters Mates, General Operatives for Power Plant projects in Ireland and Globally.

Job Overview:
We are currently seeking dedicated and reliable Fitters Mates, General Operatives to join our team. You will work closely with experienced Mechanical and Piping fitters to assist in the installation and/or maintenance of mechanical equipment within the power plant facility.

Key Responsibilities:
Assist experienced Fitters in assembling, installing, and dismantling machinery and equipment as directed.
Carry out routine tasks on mechanical systems and equipment under the supervision of senior team members.
Provide support during equipment inspections, identifying and reporting any signs of wear, damage, or malfunction.
Handle tools and equipment safely and responsibly, following all safety protocols and procedures.
Assist in the fabrication and modification of parts using manual and automated tools as required.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation in work areas to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.
Collaborate with team members to complete tasks efficiently and meet project deadlines.

Qualifications:
Safety Passport
Previous experience in a mechanical or industrial environment
Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.

The Site Administrator will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the construction site by managing various administrative tasks, maintaining accurate records, and facilitating communication among project stakeholders. This position requires excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
Assist the Site Manager and construction team with day-to-day administrative tasks, including filing, data entry, and document management.
Coordinate and schedule meetings, appointments, and site visits for project stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and suppliers.
Manage incoming and outgoing correspondence, including emails, phone calls, and written communications, and ensure timely responses.
Prepare and distribute project-related documentation, such as meeting agendas, minutes, progress reports, and safety notices.
Maintain accurate records of project documentation, including contracts, permits, drawings, and specifications, and ensure they are properly organised and accessible to team members.
Assist with the onboarding process for new hires and subcontractors, including collecting required documentation and coordinating site inductions.
Monitor office and site supplies inventory levels and place orders as needed to ensure continuity of operations.
Collaborate with the Site Manager and safety personnel to promote and maintain a safe working environment, including maintaining safety records and distributing safety-related communications.
Provide administrative support during project meetings, including preparing agendas, taking minutes, and distributing meeting materials.

Qualifications:
Proven experience in an administrative role, preferably within the construction industry or a similar field.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and other relevant software applications.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with diverse stakeholders.
Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping and documentation management.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.

Shanahan Engineering are seeking (Construction) Site Administrators for assignments located in Dublin & Athlone. These positions are fixed term contracts.

Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities

• Receptionist / switchboard

• Receipt, distribution & dispatch of mails & letters incl. archiving in database

• Translations of site documents

• Archiving of documents

• Support with the administration of travel arrangements and logistics on instruction from HO Assignment Team, where required.

• Support with administration of rental cars on instruction from HO Assignment Team, where required

• Support with the administration of accommodation (apartments for employees) on instruction from HO Assignment Team, where required.

• Support to HO Assignment team for foreign personnel in visa /work permit application process as per the Assignment Team instruction.

• Delivery of weekly signed timesheets and expense forms for processing by HO Assignment team for payroll and billing purposes.

• Update & distribution of organization chart, telephone list and office layout plan incl. office labeling

• All site Document Control functions in accordance with site procedures

• Upkeep of the project cloud based Sharefile in accordance with site procedures

• Support to EHS Site Manager in collecting/archiving/reporting data of site personnel to client and/or authorities

• Administration & procurement of office material

• Administration of personnel related issues (weekly work record sheets for internal & external employees / holiday forms / travel notifications etc.)

• Organisation of meeting rooms incl. food & drinks for meetings

• Organization of IT & telecommunication support

• General support to Site Management in all administrative & secretarial tasks (photocopies, scanning of documents, telephone attendance etc.)
