Itā€™s that time of year again: Second Hand September šŸ’š

A month to choose secondhand instead of newā€¦ or, in my case, to buy secondhand, chop it up and make something completely new.

I canā€™t believe I made this. I thought it was finishedā€¦ but something was missing. A COLLAR šŸ’ƒšŸ’ƒšŸ’ƒ

Made from a vintage tapestry bed throw, finished with a gorgeous woven trim. I loved it but then I added the collar, then it was perfect.

I just need to add buttons & I might add lining to it. Thatā€™s another days work šŸ¤—

Found this bag one of my favourite shops in Torremolinosā€¦Ale Hop šŸ„ for ā‚¬18. I had a planā€¦

I turned it into a celebration of some of my favourites. Itā€™s the kind of bag youā€™d never find in the shops, and thatā€™s exactly why I love it so much.

Itā€™s very me and now completely one of a kind.

A double jumbo red ricrac striped skirt!! I donā€™t think Iā€™ll ever buy new clothes again. Iā€™m having far too much fun making and customizing my own ā¤ļø

This was a first for me. I made a SKIRT from an ###L menā€™s shirt and used the sleeves to create the waistband.

I also kept the wavy hem of the shirt at the bottom. I didnā€™t want to hem it, I loved the shape it already had.

It took me forever to figure out how to add the elastic! Itā€™s not perfect, but I learned so much making this.

Lots asking how to hang plates on walls. I use plate discs from Amazon. I sourced my plates from different plates. Try Primark, Dunnes Stores, Anthropology, Charity shops. Some plates are too nice to be in a cupboard.

Remember this??Kicking off summer with a firm favourite from the capsule handmade wardrobe aka this deadly two piece my mam made from an IKEA tablecloth (Tessaman range ).
She made it last year and I had to bring it back out yesterday. Still obsessed. P.S I got an awful shock when I opened the fridge and saw my phone in there šŸ˜¬šŸ¤·ā€ā™€ļø.
