Kitchen Sink Reseal

Over time, the silicone around this Belfast sink had become mouldy and discoloured from constantly getting wet whenever the tap was used.

The old silicone was removed, the area was thoroughly cleaned and prepared and a fresh waterproof seal was applied.

A simple job, but it makes a big difference to the look and cleanliness of the kitchen. 👌

This customer had three en-suites that were looking very tired after more than two decades of use.

She chose Option 2 – Reseal + Full Refresh, which included:

✅ Removal of all old silicone
✅ Thorough cleaning and preparation of all seal joints
✅ New silicone around shower trays, walls, doors and frames
✅ Shower leak repair
✅ Deep cleaning of shower trays and visible surfaces
✅ Cleaning of shower door bottom rails and tracks

Why does silicone fail in bathrooms?

Silicone doesn't last forever. Over time it can shrink, crack, discolour or allow water to get behind it.

A few signs it may need attention:

✅ Gaps between the silicone and tiles/bath/shower tray

Another Ensuite shower saved from a costly renovation!

This shower had been leaking for some time. Multiple layers of silicone had been applied over the years in an attempt to stop the leak, but water was still finding its way through.

The result?
💧 Water leaking through the ceiling below.
💧 Water escaping from both sides of the shower door.
💧 A shower that looked old and worn out.

We removed the failed plastic seal & old sealant and applied a fresh, professional-grade silicone seal to stop the leak properly.
