How small a hole can a rat get through? Never underestimate the small gaps rats can get through.... An adult rat can squeeze through a hole as small as 12 mm horizontally . A smaller, juvenile rat can fit through an even smaller gap, around 8 mm. Rats use their flexible bodies, pointed heads, and whiskers to test gaps...

Although we are in the Summer(supposed to be anyway) and are busy dealing with insects like Wasps ,Ants, Moths ,Bed bugs to name but a few...we still are doing a lot of work with Rodents ...often the first time people may be aware they have a rodent issue is they would hear scratching and scurrying at night in the attic or ceiling area ....its no wonder the customer could hear this particular one....sometimes even as professionals we are surprised....the expression as big as a cat springs to mindšŸ˜²
