Fast, Attainable Housing with the Solo 75 A-Frame
At Avrame Ireland, we’ve been exploring how kit homes can deliver affordable, realistic, and fast-to-build housing — and the Solo 75 is a perfect example.
Recently, we partnered with a local construction team to see just how quickly a Solo 75 can go from foundation to watertight structure. Over 14 days, the team completed:
- Foundation and subfloor – concrete, mesh, block, and timber secured to achieve a raised, breathable base
- Walls and roof – pre-cut trusses assembled on-site, numbered and labelled for easy installation
- Windows and doors – fully triple-glazed, including a tilt-out window with balcony access
- Gables and flashing – ensuring the structure is watertight
While the interior finishing and utilities aren’t in place yet, the exterior is fully functional and built to high standards. The Solo 75 features a loft sleeping area, space for a compact kitchen and bathroom, and potential for clever storage underneath. Its timber frame is C24 grade, providing extra strength and durability, while allowing airflow beneath insulation to prevent condensation — a common challenge in timber builds.
One standout feature of the Solo 75 is its flexibility: the raised design works well for uneven ground or integration with existing structures, and the kit can be customized with decks, hot tubs, or additional insulation depending on the buyer’s needs.
For anyone considering small-scale living, Airbnb investments, or a guest house, the Solo 75 demonstrates that a high-quality, pre-fabricated home can go up quickly without sacrificing durability or style.
Our aim with projects like this is simple: attainable, well-priced homes, built fast, and with realistic expectations. For those interested in exploring kit homes in Ireland, the Solo 75 offers a glimpse of what’s possible — from planning to a fully framed structure in just two weeks.
