is excited to share the interior scheme for the main quarter of Villa Cengkeh - a family villa compound nestled in a serene clove tree forest.
The living / dining area is the resultant of breaking and bending the masses of the main quarter in order to create an in-between space for a contained, intermediate gathering place, which also extends to the rear yard. This space bridges the master (parents) suite with the family (children) suites. This main quarter is conceived with three operational scenarios, i.e.: the master suite operates independently by itself within its own territory; the master suite operates along with the living / dining area as its extension; and the main quarter operates fully when family suites are occupied by visiting families of the children.
The open-plan living / dining area, equipped with a kitchenette, uses a natural palette so as not to compete with the surrounding natural beauty. The natural finish teakwood and the exterior stone veneer are used in the interior to promote the outside-in idea, providing a different experience from that of urban living. The floor finish complements the serenity of the space the design is trying to achieve. The ceiling, set at a humble height at the north end front, opens up as residents progress southwards, framing the rear yard with the clove trees forest in the background.
Another in the Regency of Mojokerto.
