Active aerodynamics is no longer just Formula 1 technology. 🏎️ 🌫️

I worked on the active aero system presentation of the TERPS Racing Formula Student car, combining engineering, aerodynamics, electronics, software logic, and cinematic technical visualization.

The goal was not only to present the system technically, but also to capture the competitive motorsport feeling behind the project.

Some highlights of the system:

• 56.5% drag reduction
• 223.3 N downforce at 15 m/s
• 350 ms actuation time
• Dynamic aero balance shifting
• Driver-adjustable aero sensitivity
• Custom electronics and redundant safety systems

Projects like this show how technical animation can help turn complex engineering into clear and engaging visual communication.

Proud to collaborate with the University of Maryland’s TERPS Racing team on this project.

The University of Maryland is one of the top public research universities in the United States, known for its strong engineering and innovation programs. TERPS Racing brings together talented engineers and designers focused on high-performance Formula SAE vehicle development, aerodynamics, and advanced manufacturing.

For this project, we start creating a cinematic 3D animation to help communicate the engineering behind the vehicle through high-end visual storytelling.
