Day 3 brought a different perspective to the GNBCC Trade Mission, combining Dutch heritage and culture with further engagement in the agriculture and seed sector.
The day began at Zaanse Schans, where the delegation explored the historic windmills, traditional wooden houses and craftsmanship that form an important part of Dutch heritage. The visit also offered insights into the Netherlandsโ approach to water management, an area closely linked to the countryโs agricultural and environmental landscape.
The delegation then travelled to Volendam, where a walking tour and traditional Dutch fish lunch offered another glimpse into Dutch culture and local traditions.
The afternoon returned to the business agenda with a visit to Enza Zaden in Enkhuizen. Delegates learned more about the international seed market, vegetable breeding and the role of innovation in agriculture. The discussions also provided an opportunity to consider how developments in the seed sector could relate to businesses and agricultural opportunities in Ghana.
The day ended with dinner in Amsterdam, rounding off another day of learning, cultural exchange and engagement.
From Dutch heritage to agricultural innovation, Day 3 added another dimension to the mission and gave delegates further perspectives to take into their ongoing conversations and engagements.
