Sand and Cement Render Removal Underway in Harrogate
Work is progressing well on this full exterior render refurbishment at a property in Harrogate.
The old sand and cement render had become cracked, tired and unsuitable for overcoating, so we removed it back to the original brickwork. This allowed the walls to be inspected, repaired, cleaned and properly prepared before the new render system was installed.
We have now started spray applying and ruling the first scratch coat, which forms the first stage of a two-coat mesh-reinforced basecoat system.
Next, we will apply the second basecoat with fibreglass reinforcement mesh, allow the system to cure, prime the walls and spray apply the selected silicone render topcoat.
Once complete, the property will have a clean, modern exterior with a breathable, flexible and water-repellent finish.
