Congratulations to U-Services in Thailand — all six of their service facilities have now confirmed compliance with the AEMT Codes of Practice.

Getting one site through is an achievement. Getting six through means customers can expect the same standards wherever their work is carried out.

We're pleased to welcome Noctua B.V. to the AEMT!

Based in Amsterdam, Noctua has built a service ecosystem for the repair and maintenance of critical static and rotating electrical machinery. Their platform brings together real-time sensor data, condition-based and preventive maintenance scheduling, spare parts management, and standardised repair workflows into one transparent process. The result is fewer handover points, fewer systems, and greater visibility for asset owners and service teams alike.

With roots going back to 1996, they've had time to get this right. We're glad to have them as part of the network.

Every workshop has one: the person who gets called when nobody else can work out what's wrong.

New for 2026, the Electro-Mechanical Champion of the Year recognises exactly that person, someone whose technical expertise, problem-solving and consistently high standard of work add real, measurable value to their organisation and help move the whole industry forward.

It's not about job title. It's about the engineer who's quietly become indispensable: the one who diagnoses the fault everyone else missed, who trains up the apprentices without being asked, who's been doing brilliant, unglamorous work for years without anyone putting their name forward.

So we're asking: who would you nominate? Drop a name in the comments, or better still, put them forward properly.

You don't need their permission to start, and the form takes about fifteen minutes.

This week we're welcoming PTTEP to the AEMT community!

PTT Exploration and Production Public Company Limited is Thailand's national petroleum exploration and production company, with projects operating across multiple countries. Their work covers the full upstream cycle from exploration through development to production, backed by strong investment in technology and innovation. Planning to join us in Manchester on 24 September? Now is the time to get your ticket, Early Bird Conference prices are only available until Monday 24 August.

And while you're booking, it's worth getting the rest of your visit organised too.

🏨 Discounted hotel rates have been extended until 4th September, with special rates available at the Delta Hotels by Marriott Manchester Airport and Holiday Inn Express Manchester Airport, subject to availability.

🚗 Driving? Complimentary parking is available for Conference delegates, and vehicles can be left at the venue overnight by prior arrangement if you're staying for the evening.

🚆 Coming by train? Manchester Airport station is less than three miles from the Concorde Conference Centre, with a short taxi journey to the venue.
