🎥 Flexibility isn’t just a design choice — it’s what makes a lab future-ready.

Flexibility was a key priority in the design of Cyprotex’s new 32,000 sq ft research facility at Alderley Park.

In this latest video, Brian Miller, Engineering & Facilities Manager at Cyprotex explains how Klick’s furniture and benching systems help the building respond to changing customer needs, evolving regulatory requirements and future instrumentation demands.

With mobile benching and heavy-duty solutions designed to support equipment up to 250kg, the laboratories have been built to adapt — giving Cyprotex the freedom to reconfigure spaces as their science and business needs evolve.

Watch the clip to hear why flexible, future-ready lab design matters.

Back to school is just around the corner… 🎒🔬

For many students, the next couple of weeks will mean the treat of a new pencil case, finishing off those holiday projects and getting ready for the start of a new school year.

For our installation teams, it means the final push!

They’re working flat out across the country to complete science laboratory and food technology room refurbishments ready for students and teachers to return.

On some projects, our is already installed and we’ve left main contractors to complete final connections. Where Klick are co-ordinating a full turnkey refurbishment our teams are adding the final touches before handover.

It’s always rewarding to see the results of many weeks of planning, design and coordination come together – transforming existing teaching spaces into modern, practical environments ready to inspire the next generation of students.

Good luck to all the schools preparing for the start of another busy academic year!

It seems particularly fitting that on , we’ve just received the images from our latest project photoshoot in West Yorkshire. 📷

Looking through them was a great reminder of the difference a professional makes.

Phone cameras may be getting better and better, but there’s still something about professionally composed, lit and edited photography that really captures the quality, detail and finish of a completed project.

For us, these images are an important part of telling the story of our work – showcasing the details that have gone into the design and giving prospective clients a much better sense of the finished laboratory environment.

A big thank you to Hannah Morris-Quinn and her team at VideoHQ for another fantastic set of images. We’re looking forward to sharing more of them soon!

A positive result for the future of STEM 🎓🔬

As students across the country receive their A level results today, it's encouraging to see growing interest in STEM-related subjects.

2026 UCAS data shows 34,100 students have been accepted onto engineering and technology courses – an increase of 14% compared with last year.

At Klick, we believe the environments in which young people learn matter. Well-designed science laboratories can help make practical learning more engaging, provide students with access to modern facilities and create inspiring spaces in which to develop their interest in STEM subjects.

That's why we work closely with schools and colleges to create science laboratories that combine functionality, flexibility and engaging design, supporting both today's curriculum and the scientists and engineers of the future.

Congratulations to everyone receiving their results today – and good luck with whatever comes next!

It's not often our Managing Director appears on social media….

In this short clip, Jonathan Whitehurst reflects on what made our recent laboratory fit-out such a success.

For him, it's about more than completing a project. It's about creating laboratories that combine functionality, flexibility and quality, while building strong relationships through trust, collaboration and clear communication.

That's the approach we bring to every laboratory project.

🎥 Watch Jonathan's thoughts below.

If you're planning a new laboratory or refurbishing an existing facility, we'd be happy to discuss how we can help bring your vision to life.

Our installation teams are busy delivering and projects across the UK this summer.

As and take advantage of the holiday period, much of our programme is focused on education refurbishments and we’re currently working in Portsmouth, Nottingham, Bristol, Cheltenham, London and Derbyshire.

Projects include science laboratory refurbishments and a kitchen, with works to be completed before the new academic year, with minimal disruption.

Alongside these projects, we're also progressing commercial laboratory fit-outs in Warrington, Scotland and the Midlands, helping clients create high-quality laboratory environments for research, testing and innovation.

Many of our projects are now moving beyond the strip-out phase, with structural alterations and fit-out works well underway. Careful planning at this stage ensures every space is designed to improve functionality, workflow and flexibility for its end users.

Thanks to Liam Carney and the team for all your hard work.
