Returning once again to one of my favourite subjects: the dining/piano room. There is something magical about the way the light catches the dark wood, the antique mirror, and the soft glow of the fireplace that keeps pulling me back. Every time I paint this space, I see new depths and shadows.

🍂 What is your favourite autumn flower? Mine is definitely the humble aster; quite simple in itself but en masse it becomes this pink gorgeousness 🌺

These asters, including the just about to turn pink sedums, all come from my garden. Painting in season, using my garden flowers gives me so much joy! 👩‍🎨

Dahlia Patch I have recently discovered - these breathtakingly beautiful flowers are available to pick daily by appointment.

I went there with my lovely friend Sue and we had a lovely quiet morning there in the fresh air, followed by a yummy breakfast at the farm cafe. ☕️

🥾 You really don’t need to go far for a great day out…
Now I’m back in the studio I look forward to painting my dahlia arrangement so watch this space! 🎨

This is not an ad - we all love Bennetts milk, ice cream et cetera but the dahlia patch is something else… I’m going back next month🌺

You really must see it for yourself!
