🌿 Friday favourite! Comes from a Beech hedge trim/reduction in Woodbridge.

🕊️ Comments from the neighbours about height and a lack of sunlight prompted this cut, with the height reduced from around 12ft to 8ft. Everyone needs good neighbours.

🤠 UN beret not required but still worn for effect.

🌿 Greenways was founded in 2024 while working full time in the emergency services as a means of earning a little extra pocket money, and a way of decompressing.

🌿 Work began trickling in and a common theme from all clients was previous gardeners were ‘fly by night’. I wanted to build my business based on the principles of reliability, consistency and trust formed through long term relationships with clients.

🌿 Two years on, with the the same OGs (original gardens) retaining their spaces, the business has grown into a full time occupation with a range of properties and businesses around the Woodbridge area.

🌿 The working week is currently split between regular and ‘can you just’ bookings - small one off projects bring balance and variety to the business.

🌿 Plans afoot for a tree felling course in November brings another stage of growth for Greenways.

🌿 Thanks to everyone who has been part of the journey. Bookings are now creeping into 2027!

🌿 I was asked to bring some order to this garden recently up on the market in Snape. The client raising concerns regarding some overgrown Buddleja plants mainly, and a ‘general tidy up’.

🌿 Main tasks completed: Buddleias cut back to improve access to the summer house, Catonester and Cherry tree branches cut back to increase light around seating area, shrubs in rear garden cut back.

☎️ I never met the client face to face so a video summary was sent after completion to confirm work had been carried out. Invoice was promptly paid! 5️⃣⭐️

♻️ The job itself created an unholy amount of waste. I’d guess 2 trips to the local tip with a waste bill estimated to double the labour cost. Thank goodness for the chipper!

📍 The property itself located in Snape, a stone throw from the Maltings. An ideal holiday let, investment or Sizewell letting. 10 minutes from Aldeburgh, Saxmundham and the A12. Listed with Flick and Son, link in the description. 👇

Did I mention I have a chipper? For an additional cost the chipper can be brought to site and waste can be directly chipped into a garden waste bin, onto compost bins or disposed of.

♻️ Why? Fees at SCC sites are unpredictable and costly. Time spent travelling to the tip can be put back into working on site.

💰Chipper cost charged at day and half day rates, disposal included.

🗑️ Less time spent in bins, more time transforming your outdoor space.

🌿 Slowly reclaiming this garden back. For whatever reason it’s been consumed by brambles, ivy and honeysuckle.

🌿 A bit more to clear, and a finesse to finish. Tidying the edges and a mow, the garden will be back to a much better standard and more inviting to maintain.

🌿 Now the client can see out of kitchen window. A bit of weight has been taken off the fence ahead of winter.

🌿 All waste ran through the chipper and into a couple of bags.

🔥 Latest edition to the Greenways arsenal. Why?

♻️ The single biggest limiting factor to my work is waste. I have previously been taking green waste to the SCC recycling centres.

✂️ Cutting up waste to put into a tonne bag, to fit into the van felt so inefficient. Especially to take to the tip.

♻️ At the recycling centre I am charged for a perecentage of van load. A visual, subjective judgement made my recycling centre staff. Charges were inconsistent and unpredictable.

🔥With the chipper I am able to take back control of waste management, offering more options to the client and a consistent cost for disposal.

♻️ Waste can be chipped into a bin, compost heap or mulch onto beds. I am happy to take waste away and dispose at a variety of private sites.
