Out with the old, in with the new.
The old lead was cracked, the felt underneath had completely rotted, and the tiles below were badly broken — a leak waiting to happen.
We stripped everything back and rebuilt it properly:
✔️ New waterproof membrane installed
✔️ Fresh tiles fitted up the wall
✔️ Brand new lead work completed
Now it’s solid, weatherproof, and built to last 💪

Another roof job completed ✅
This one needed a proper fix, not a quick patch. The felt at the eaves was too rotten to be saved, so we stripped it back and installed new eaves trays along with a new first course of felt and battens to get it right from the start.
The eaves take the most abuse over time, so doing it properly now means a longer-lasting roof and no hidden issues down the line.
On to the next one 🔨

Another roof repair completed.
The battens had rotted and perished, which caused the tiles to slip and allowed rainwater to drive in onto the membrane and into the roof. We carried out the necessary repairs and got everything back into solid condition.
The customer had previously been quoted a full replacement of the concrete gutters with PVC — a costly job that wasn’t actually needed at this stage 💸
By focusing on the real issue, we were able to save her a significant amount of money and extend the life of the existing roof without unnecessary work.

Had my son along with me while we worked on a slate extension re-roof on the side of a house. Great to show him the ropes and have him get involved 💪
