π Why Accurate Diagnostics Matter
One of the most common situations I encounter is a customer being told that a major component needs replacing, only for the actual fault to turn out to be something completely different.
Modern heating systems can develop faults that appear similar on the surface:
βͺ Boiler losing pressure
βͺ Intermittent heating
βͺ No hot water
βͺ Fault codes appearing and disappearing
βͺ Radiators not heating properly
βͺ System noises and circulation issues
Replacing parts without proper testing can become expensive very quickly.
My approach is always to start with diagnostics and fault-finding before recommending repairs. Identifying the root cause often saves customers time, money, and unnecessary disruption.
Recent faults investigated have included:
β Failed filling valves causing pressure issues
β Blocked plate heat exchangers affecting hot water performance
β Faulty sensors creating intermittent lockouts
β Air circulation problems within heating systems
β Leaks hidden within pipework and system components
Whether you're a homeowner, landlord, or managing agent, having a fault diagnosed correctly is often the most important step in getting your heating or plumbing system back to normal.
