Not every upgrade is a complete rack build. Sometimes it’s about making sure a system is ready for what’s next.

This rack needed an additional network switch to support new devices while keeping everything neat, reliable and easy to service. The new switch was installed, integrated into the existing network and mounted to match the rest of the rack for a clean, factory finished look.

🔧 When was the last time your AV or home automation rack had a health check?

Most people service their boiler every year, but their home automation system is often forgotten until something stops working.

After being on the go all day, in this heat, wearing a full black uniform… I think I know exactly where her priorities were! ☀️🥵

No hello. No stopping. Straight through the house, into the garden, and into the pool. 😂

Thankfully, our smart cameras caught the whole thing!

Joking aside, CCTV isn’t just there for security. It’s great for keeping an eye on your home, checking deliveries, seeing who’s arrived, and sometimes capturing those funny everyday moments you’ll look back on.

Little Easter Sunday project for my eldest 🐣

He’s had this IKEA head light for years and kept asking if he could control it from his phone or through the Control4 system… so we made it happen.

Added a Shelly Plus RGBW PM and bypassed the original PCB, turning it into a fully smart RGB light.

Now it can be controlled via Control4, his phone, or locally using the original button, which now handles on/off, colour changes, smooth dimming, and even a night mode, none of which it had before.

Set up a few simple scenes as well, so he can switch between them from the wall keypad or his Halo remote.

Safe to say he’s pretty happy with the result 👍

This window has been upgraded to a made-to-measure pocket blind from QMotion, finished cleanly within the recess for a true blackout result. No side light bleed. No visible brackets. Just a sharp, tailored look.

But the real difference?
It’s fully integrated with Control4.

The blind can now be:

• Controlled from a keypad
• Adjusted in the Control4 app
• Automated with schedules
• Linked to lighting scenes
• Set to close automatically at night

So it’s not just about looks. It’s about performance and convenience.

Press “Goodnight” and the lights fade, the blind drops, and the room is ready. No manual chains. No reaching over furniture.
