FULL WARM ROOF BUILD – START TO FINISH

A recent project we’ve completed where we took care of the entire roof build from the steels upwards – not just the roof covering.

Starting with the steels already in position, we completed all the new timber work and built the complete roof structure from scratch, including:

• Full new timber roof structure
• All new joists and structural timber work
• New OSB roof decking throughout
• 100mm rigid insulation creating a fully insulated warm roof system
• Additional decking over the insulation
• Full EPDM rubber roof system
• Purpose-built opening and timber upstand for the roof lantern
• New roof lantern installed
• All perimeter, abutment and adjoining roof details completed
• Weatherproofing and finishing works throughout

Everything you can see in the progress photos – from the bare steels and timber structure right through to the insulated, waterproofed finished roof and lantern – was completed by us.

Jobs like this are a good example of the amount of work that goes underneath a finished flat roof. Once the EPDM goes down, most of it is hidden, but getting the structure, falls, insulation and detailing right underneath is just as important as the final covering.
