🚆 Helping bring Balgray Station to life!

As Balgray Station in Scotland prepares to welcome its first passengers, we're proud to showcase Kelly Rail's contribution to this important new addition to the rail network.

Our team has been responsible for delivering the station's mechanical and electrical (M&E) installations, including lighting, CCTV, customer information screens, public help points and public announcement systems.

We've also installed and commissioned the station's power and telecommunications infrastructure, alongside new Driver Only Operation (DOO) systems on both platforms, allowing train drivers to monitor passenger movements.

From essential behind-the-scenes infrastructure to the systems passengers will use every day, our work will play an important role in supporting the station's operation.

We’re looking for motivated Trainee Telecommunications Engineers to join Kelly Group, working on our Openreach contract across the UK.

You’ll receive industry-recognised training while delivering copper connectivity to homes and businesses, working both at height and within underground networks.

We’re looking for people with:
✔ A strong commitment to safety and quality
✔ Confidence working outdoors throughout the year
✔ Good communication and customer service skills
✔ A practical, organised approach to problem-solving
✔ Confidence using smart devices and technology
✔ The ability to work at heights of up to 15 metres
✔ A full UK manual driving licence held for at least 12 months, with no more than six points

Ready to take the next step in your telecommunications career and train the next generation of engineers?

We’re looking for experienced Telecoms Technical Trainers to join Kelly Group’s expanding training team across our UK hubs (Enfield, Glasgow, Nuneaton & Bristol).

You’ll deliver practical and theory training, conduct industry-recognised accreditations, and help develop new and existing engineers across our nationwide network.

We’re looking for people with:

✔ Extensive training and installation experience across Civils, Fibre and Copper networks
✔ In-depth knowledge of overhead cabling, UG cabling and network build
✔ Strong working knowledge of the Openreach accreditation process
✔ Experience delivering coaching, training, or developing instructional content
✔ Excellent communication and organisational skills with a passion for helping others succeed

Our Elite Drivers Club recognises and rewards our workforce for consistently prioritising safety on the road.

Drivers in our workforce who maintain consistent, safe driving habits for a full month unlock ‘Elite Status’ and, along with a jacket, thermos, bag, and other useful merch, get entered into a monthly £1,000 raffle!

⚽ Earlier this summer, 18 teams from the Kelly Group workforce took to the pitch in Manchester and London, raising money for and the vital work they do supporting people facing homelessness.

We’re delighted to share that, with the players and a generous donation from Kelly Group, we raised an incredible £5,000 for Shelter! ❤️
