Day 2 at the new allotment plot and it was time to tackle the scariest job- the greenhouse 🫣
We desperately needed a safe place for our plant babies, but the old shattered glass was a HUGE hazard! It was lodged in tight and cracking under the slightest pressure, so we carefully removed it and upgraded to second hand polycarbonate panels.
With this recent heatwave, the polycarbonate has been a total life saver. It scatters the intense sunlight so our plants get bright light without scorching! 🥵 ☀️
We also laid down w**d membrane and a mix of white and Cotswold pebbles. The white pebbles reflect day time light and the dark pebbles hold onto the heat at night.
