Few same jobs for the week for a landlord, normally I’d post these pictures at the end of the month in one group as a round up of everything I’ve done. However, this was another interesting job this Landlord who I’ve not worked for before had some non-British workers doing some work in the house, his words not mine. All they had to do was fix a banister to some stairs on the outside of the property which they did and this lasted less than three days why? Because they used the wrong bolts. They then had to replace a socket in the kitchen that lasted two days and started sparking why? Because they didn’t know what they was doing then in the garden there was a dozen slaps that had to be re-beded down and guess what lasted two days why because they bot and dabbed them back down on the original subfloor. Rather than digging up the subfloor by an inch and laying a new concrete bed. we also had to fit new handles to some patio doors as the ones that were on there with the wrong size ! and they charged the same as us but did the work in less than half the time.
So when choosing a workman, ask to see evidence of past work, any qualifications they might have like I do, I carry my qualifications to every job quote I go to. And just because it’s cheap doesn’t mean it will be good or last, but also just because it seems expensive doesn’t mean it’ll be good or last do you research on the person.
