Today’s job was cutting out and replacing failed silicone around a shower tray after water had already found its way through the ceiling below.

A good mix of jobs for MN Handyman Services this week, including:

🐮 Hanging this rather brilliant Highland cow clock

🪞 Installing a large feature mirror

🪚 Making and fitting shelves

🪟 Hanging curtains across a large set of bi-fold doors

🚪 Replacing a broken door handle

📋 Plus plenty of visits to look at and price up future projects.

Lovely (and quite heavy!) mirror hung on the stairwell...

🔨 **When a job doesn’t quite go to plan…**

A first for MN Handyman Services this week — I had to return to put right some of my own work.

A shelf I’d previously installed had started pulling away from the wall. Frustrating, but these things need to be put right.

New fixings, additional brackets, the old holes repaired and the wall redecorated — all at no charge to the customer.

I’m actually really pleased with the result. It’s stronger, neater and a far better job than before.

I won’t pretend every job will always go perfectly first time. What I can promise is that I’ll stand by my work and put things right when needed.
