Did you know that a third of burglary victims are home when it happens? 🏡
It's a scary stat, but as it's National Home Security Month, we think it's important to raise awareness of how we can all make our homes a place where you should feel safe.
Some of these you'll know, but they're worth keeping in mind at home to reduce the risk.
🔒 Get in the habit of locking the front door behind you
🔒 Lock up when you're out in the garden, even if you can see the door
🔒 Don't leave the patio door on the latch because you're only popping out
🔒 Keep your keys away from any doors
🔒 Have a look at your upstairs window locks, most people never do
🔒 Don't have anything on show worth taking, phones and laptops especially
