From a store cupboard to a brand-new downstairs WC 👌

This little space was once nothing more than a store cupboard, but there was potential to turn it into something far more useful.

With space being tight, everything had to be carefully planned to make the most of every inch. Handmade fitted units and furniture specifically for the room and finished in Farrow & Ball Green Smoke, with brushed brass fittings and warm wood-effect flooring to finish it off.

It’s gone from a cupboard full of bits and pieces to a proper, usable downstairs WC that looks like it’s always been part of the house.

Having a downstairs WC isn’t just convenient for everyday life and visitors, it’s also a great addition to a home and can help add value to the property.

Sometimes it’s the smallest rooms that make the biggest difference!

✨ Another bathroom transformation completed by Aurora Home Improvements. ✨

This project wasn’t just about updating the look of the bathroom—it was about making everyday life easier and safer.

My customer, needed a much larger and more accessible shower with anti slip and a lower profile tray. The original layout made the room feel cramped, so I completely redesigned it to make the best use of the available space and create a shower that was safer, more comfortable and easier to use.

The finished bathroom features:

✅ Spacious walk-in shower
✅ Floating anthracite vanity unit
✅ LED illuminated mirror
✅ Modern WC unit
✅ Luxury vinyl flooring
✅ Chrome heated towel rail

This is one of my latest bathroom renovations, completed in Plymouth.

The bath was removed and the room reconfigured to make much better use of the space, replacing it with a spacious walk-in shower, fluted glass screen, porcelain tiles, wood-effect slatted feature walls, a floating oak-effect vanity unit and LVT flooring.

It was a pleasure transforming this space, and I’d like to thank my customer for trusting me with their home.

I’m almost fully booked for the rest of this year, but I’m already taking enquiries for 2027.

One of my favourite bathrooms I’ve completed to date, whilst also being one of my biggest headaches to date!

This one started as two separate rooms and has been transformed into one spacious, modern bathroom with a completely new layout, with the luxury hotel feeling the customer was looking for.

Every aspect of this project was completed by myself, from the initial rip-out right through to the final finishing touches, ensuring everything was completed to the standard I’d expect in my own home.

Some of my favourite features include:
• Walk-in shower with fluted glass screen
• Freestanding bath
• Floating oak vanity unit
• Brushed brass fittings throughout
• Recessed LED ceiling lighting
• Herringbone LVT flooring
• Bespoke tiled shower partition with recessed storage

It’s always satisfying seeing a project like this come together after weeks of hard work.

Bathrooms have definitely been keeping me busy lately 🛁 and I’ve just recently completed this ensuite transformation over in Eggbuckland, Plymouth for couple who originally contacted me through a recommendation from a previous bathroom renovation I completed back in 2018 — which is always genuinely appreciated 👌

Huge thanks to past customers who continue to recommend my work years later — as a small business it genuinely means a lot and it’s a massive help.

They’re now also having their main bathroom renovated over the coming month, and it’s going to be an amazing transformation once completed.

One thing I’ve noticed with social media nowadays is there’s a lot of flashy videos and “look how busy we are” posts from trades pages… but not always much actual work being shown or the work being shown or it’s just a quick walk around video not giving customers a real opportunity to see the details👀

So I try to keep things a bit more real:

I’d rather show proper transformations from start to finish and let the actual work speak for itself, rather than just posting a quick video of me hanging a door or walking around a job saying how busy I am 🤷‍♂️

Attention to detail is a massive part of what I do, and for me it’s always the finishing touches that really bring a project to life and make the difference once everything comes together.

All works are personally carried out and project managed throughout to make sure the standard stays consistent from the first day through to the finished result.

From dated and divided… to modern, bright and spacious!

This bathroom transformation completely changed the feel of the space by removing the wall between the bathroom and WC, creating a much more open, practical layout.

The new design features:
• Full bath/shower combination
• Contemporary feature tiling
• Gunmetal fixtures and fittings
• Modern vanity basin unit
• Heated towel radiator
• New flooring and lighting throughout

The contrast between the old layout and the finished result is massive — the room now feels bigger, brighter and far more luxurious while still making the most of the available space.

Another quality transformation completed by Aurora Home Improvements with this one being tiled by Gavin from G&N wall and floor tiling.

Big difference on this one in Glenholt, Plymouth!

Full ensuite rip out and refit. The old one was tired, dated and just looked and felt cramped due to the original layout of the room, it’s now been swapped out for a clean, modern setup that makes way better use of the space and just looks and feels so much more spacious, even with darker colours.

Nice walk-in shower, wall panels, new vanity unit and flooring — simple but done properly and built to last.

Always good seeing them go from something you wouldn’t really want to use, to a space that actually feels fresh and comfortable.
