A new FD30S fire door set was manufactured from a door blank and installed.
All gaps between the door frame and the surrounding wall were sealed using fire-rated mastic to maintain the fire integrity of the installation.
Intumescent hinge pads were fitted behind each hinge, and Grade 13 fire-rated hinges were installed in accordance with the required fire performance.
The door was fitted with an FB2 lock, which was wrapped with intumescent lock protection pads.
The door was adjusted to achieve compliant 3 mm perimeter gaps, ensuring correct operation while maintaining its fire and smoke performance.
15 mm fire and smoke seals were fitted to the door frame to enhance smoke and fire containment.
The door was prepared and finished with two coats of undercoat and one coat of gloss paint, providing a durable and professional finish.
All required fire safety signage was installed to complete the door set in accordance with the specification.
