Another ensuite transformation completed by L Scott Plumbing 🚿
We wanted to share this project from start to finish, as there was a considerable amount of work involved in creating this new ensuite.
On 2 August, a friend of ours, who was also the customer on this project, contacted us to see if we could carry out the work while they were away. We visited the property on 4 August to look at what was required, with work commencing on 10 August when they went away.
Due to the short notice, this project had to be worked around our existing diary and previously arranged commitments
This was much more than simply replacing an existing bathroom suite. The original bathroom had a completely different layout, and creating the new ensuite involved removing walls, altering the room layout and relocating the doorway before the new installation could take shape.
By the time they returned on 28 August, the transformation was substantial. The new ensuite was fully fitted, including the shower area, floor and wall tiling, WC, twin basins, fitted furniture and associated plumbing, with the remaining sealing and finishing work still to be completed.
During the same period, we also carried out additional works elsewhere in the property, including work to the downstairs hallway ceiling and kitchen wall, capping off pipework and alterations to the four-inch drainage downstairs.
As this was a project for a friend, some elements were completed separately. They carried out their own electrical work and sorted the new doors and door linings themselves. The remainder of the project was carried out by us or arranged through L Scott Plumbing and the trades we work with.
We returned to complete the remaining work, and on 7 September the ensuite was fully sealed, finished and functioning. The only item still outstanding is an electric towel rail for the left-hand wall, which is currently on back order and will be fitted once available.
From first being contacted on 2 August, viewing the project on the 4th and starting on the 10th, to the stage shown in the 28 August photos and the finished result on 7 September, we're extremely pleased with what was achieved in a relatively short timeframe alongside our existing workload.
And credit where it's due to our friend/customer for another fantastic design and choice of finishes. This is now the fourth bathroom we've completed at this property, and it's great to see another completely individual design come together.
