The pre work, work….

People always say, I just need you to lay some slabs. As if the slabs will just appear and I have to pat them down 👌🏽

When the reality is before I even get to lay one slab, all the materials need shifting (in my case often up lots of steps) 🤦‍♂️😂, the mortar needs mixing up, so does the priming slurry (in small batches so it doesn’t go hard before you use it), area needs setting out for levels and correct base and that’s not including all the measuring, pricing, quoting and ordering…. Laying the slabs is the fun part 😎👌🏽

But at least the sun has finally made an appearance 🌞

Another transformation compete 🥳

From wilderness to wonderful and hopefully a lot more manageable for the customer!

I do seem to love awkward access on my jobs. Everything had to be shifted by hand up the lane at the back and over the wall…. But it’s worth every second to see the end results 🤩

I always say thank you to my customers but I would like to say an extra specially thank you the these guys as life has thrown me some curve balls recently and not only were you lovely people to work for, you took the time to check in on me and treated me as more than just a tradesman. It has been truly appreciated 🙏🏼

Looking forward to seeing it once everything has had a second coat of paint!

No amount of pictures or videos will ever do this project justice 🤩

It is by far the largest project I have under taken on my own. Over a hundred tonnes of material and an over 1000 hours onsite! But what an end result 😎

As always a huge thanks to for the materials and impeccable delivery service. I may work as a one man band but I couldn’t do it without all the help for my suppliers! And my customers of course!

It’s been an odd year….

First year of being a dad, slipping a disc and going from fighting fit to unable to move and branching out from my usual landscaping projects to help a friend out and build him a garden room 🛖

Apologies for the lack of posts this year, the real world has taken a priority over my digital world but hopefully over the Christmas period I will get chance to share some of my creations from throughout the year.

As always a big thanks to all my customers and suppliers, none of this is possible without you.

Merry Christmas and happy new year.
Hopefully next year will bring a little more normality 🤞
