Work is underway at the bellsmyre community gardens.

Martin Love and his gang of merry men and woman do great things within our community of Dumbarton. They offer individual plots of raised beds for locals to grow their own veg. They bring plants on from seed and cuttings to sell and fund their activities. They also go into the local primary schools and install raised beds and encourage the kids to grow veg and plants and learn more about their natural environment.

They do all this without any mains power or funding.

West Dunbartonshire is one of the most deprived areas in Scotland and without people like Martin and his gang of volunteers giving back to the community, the place would be in an even worse state.

A huge thank you to Dave Tattershall of SOLARPORT for donating the mounting system for free. Brad Hatt of Rubicon for supplying the inverter and batteries at cost. Cleaner Group are supplying the panels and electrical services for free.

This 4kW system will allow the garden to run a hydroponic system, sprinklers for the raised beds and give some power for the workshop. It also allows them to
continue to grow stawberries for my wee girl to pilfer throughout the summer.

Three Rapid chargers installed in Rose Street Car Park Inverness for SWARCO.

What’s interesting about this site is the LV switchgear and electrical plant room we have created in one of the parking bays. We can all class this as a non standard installation.

A lot of time went into planning and construction of this project, you can’t rush perfection.

Working in partnership with Cleaner EV Ltd and Oxford City Council, our Highways Team have started work on creating electric vehicle (EV) charging points at Redbridge Park & Ride to help create a citywide network of EV points 🔌 ⚡️

As part of this project, we have been using our electric digger to help reduce our impact on the environmental 👷

4.5kw of Solar PV via 12 x 375 watt Zanussi all black panels and a AlphaESS Smile5 hybrid inverter and 5.7kw of battery back up.

This system also has a ‘force charge’ mode where it chargers up from Octopus go at 4.2p per kWh on a evening.

Meaning the client never uses on peak electricity 12 months of the year.

12 x 375w all black Zanussi panels, controlled via a AlphaESS smile5 hybrid inverter coupled with 5.7kw of batter back up.

This system also has the added function of ‘island mode’ where essential circuits in the house can be used in the event of grid failure, eg powe cut.

Not one, but two 4.5kwp systems using 375watt all black Zannussi panel.

This one located in the remote Kildrummy in Aberdeenshire.

14 x 375watt Zunussi all black panels, backed up via a 5kw FoxESS Hybrid inverter which is turn controls and stores the excess solar energy in 5.2kWh of storage.

The battery also charges up on cheap off peak energy on a nighttime.

Any excess energy is sent to the customers electric car which is set to ‘solar’ mode.
