⭐️sash window repair and window repair ⭐️

Here we have a old sash window looking sorry for its self and a window that’s also looking the same

Here is what we did :

Both had new window ceils replaced with a hardwood ceil and undercoated

The small window we had to had make the parts which were rotted and replaced with like to like parts and undercoated

Old plains of glass to cleaned up and re puttyed back in place

Re cemented filets where needed to bring it back to its original shape

We also re cladded the sash and made sure all was working correctly

All old timber was treated with wood rot treated to help stop anything further from rotting out

⭐️renovation work for a customer ⭐️

Here are some things we did for this customer to make sure their renovation comes along smoothly:

•re legged joists which rotted out on the tails due to no damp course and damp in the brick wall causing the joist wall plate to rot out and window lintels to rot out which also had wood worm damage

• old timbers treated with wood worm treatment to prevent any further damage from happening or any further damage happening from wet/dry rot

• new concrete lintel’s for the floor joist wall plate and lintels for the windows so everything has the correct weight bearing

• acustic insulation fitted in and around floor joists

• all counter battened in the living room and hallway so the ceiling is flat

• wall knocked through and steel put in to take weight so the customer can walk in and out of the kitchen making a bigger area

• ceilings plasterboarded and skimmed to give a flush and clean look in the living room and hallway

• floor tanked to stop any rising damp as no damp course downstairs

• atm only electrical work is first fixed and will be second fixed when ready but all done to regulations

⭐️fire break in attic installed ⭐️

Customer and neighbour wanted a fire break made in the attic here is what we did to make sure the fire break works :

We doubled up on fire board rated 15mm plasterboard and installed 100mm acoustic fire proof insulation and applied fire proof adhesive to create a fire proof wall and then put loft boards in the attic for a place to put things

⭐️dry rot removal and treatment and put back to original condition with timber treatment ⭐️

Here is what we did in this cottage which has major dry rot after the customer found it after putting their foot through one of there floor boards :

• all new floor joists where the dry rot had eaten away of all the timbers

• new flooring re installed

• dry rot treatment applied to all areas showing signs of dry rot

• All walls in the room upstairs fitted with the correct ventilation system and battened off and re plaster boarded

• fixed lead valley which was leaking which causes the dry rot to grow in a humid environment for the fungus

• scaft jointed a ridge timber so the lead valley was correctly weight bearing after it was rotted out on the lower half

• Downstairs re counter battened and re plaster boarded

• all re skimmed and re skirting boarded so customer could get it all painted

• all electrical work was checked for regulations safety and plumbing was all done and made sure it was never going to leak and made sure everything was working correctly

Shout out to Sparling Recycling for disposing of all the waste safely and properly

Shout out to Tim Parker for doing the plumbing and making all was safe and re fitting the rad

⭐️ shed make over to make into a home bar ⭐️

Here we have a shed which was made by someone else and we have come in to fix the issues and turn it into a liveable room with a bespoke bar area here is what we did :

• bespoke bar area made to customer needs

• new double doors and frame installed

• new electrics all round inside and out all to regulations

•new glass and frame made up and installed

• new drainage system as the shed was installed incorrectly leading to water ingress under the floor causing water damage which now has been fixed

• all insulated and fitted with osb on walls to give it a rustic bar vibe

⭐️reinstated cobblestones ⭐️

This is a job we completed a couple months ago where the customer wanted to reintroduce the old cobblestones which were concreted on top of. This leaded to the the concrete to crack and fall apart leading water to ingress back towards the house.

Here is what we did to get it back to its original condition :

• all stones were removed from the ground and cleaned by hand

•A new base was made and new curb stones installed to remove the old wall which was made out of bricks and cement

• A dpm membrane was installed and Aco Brickslot drainage was installed to make a hidden but strong drainage system which is now hidden by granite cobbles

• once the stone cobbles were installed and drainage was completed a new rustic patio slabs were installed to give the walkway to the front door a old feel to it

• a waterproof fillet was installed and cut in around the wall edges to make sure no water got in behind leading to water ingress

⭐️Garden make over and new patio ⭐️

This garden space use to be a boggy place with bad drainage and felt quite dark but look at it now

Here are just some of the things we have done :

• new natural Stone porcelain tiles which are non slip and very durable 

•new setting sand grout to match in with the tiles

• new inset man holes to match in with the tiles to give them a hidden look to match in with existing tiles

•new Aco Brickslot drainage with access holes so is easy to be cleaned out and also give a slick new look

• a new drainage system which should actually works to drain off any excess water from the patio and a new French drain system to help with a garden area to make a better and more efficient garden space which isn’t boggy due to old drainage not being fitted properly

• new mosaic steppingstones which were provided by the customer to give it I feel to make it a home and a garden they feel welcome too

• a new base was built to give us a mm perfect finish to make sure the job went all smoothly

• this job was also all done by hand. as it was in a restricted access which a small digger would never have been able to get to so we had to have all the materials around us to make it work

• all waste was taken away and disposed of properly at Sparling Recycling who are reliable and local company

Another happy customer with a nice quick transformation with their porch to give it a new look has been left primed for the customer to paint

All timbers were sprayed with wood preservatives to stop any further issues from happening
