We’ve had the pleasure of subcontracting for Jake Hill Carpentry & Building to carry out the ash cladding on this stunning project.

🌧️ The Great British weather won’t stop us! 🔨

When windows or doors are removed during a renovation or extension, we make our own temporary weatherproof windows to keep the building protected from the elements.

It means we can keep the job dry, secure and moving forward, rather than losing valuable days waiting for new windows to arrive or for the weather to improve.

The one you’ve all been waiting for… 👀🏠

A little update on the loft conversion we’ve been working on recently!

For this project, we’re carrying out the full structural package and complete external finish, and it’s really starting to come together now.

Not bad for just 3 weeks’ work! 🔨👏

We’ve loved every minute of this project so far and can’t thank our clients enough for putting their trust in us to bring their plans to life.

Still a few finishing touches to go, but we’re really pleased with how this one is taking shape! 🙌

Day 3!

Little update on the reclaimed herringbone floor 🤩

It’s still a work in progress, with plenty left to do including sanding, filling and sealing, but it’s really starting to come to life now. ✨

It’s always rewarding seeing reclaimed timber transformed back into something special. We can’t wait to show you the finished result!

For anybody interested, the floor was originally from ernesettle church and was laid just after the war in the late 1940’s 🤓

🔷Bespoke wardrobes🔷

Another bespoke wardrobe completed, built completely from scratch to suit our client’s space and requirements.

Constructed using 18mm moisture-resistant MDF throughout, this wardrobe has been designed with both durability and practicality in mind. The shaker doors are manufactured from 18mm MDF with a 9mm recessed centre panel, creating a clean, timeless finish.

Inside, we’ve fitted soft-close drawers for a premium feel, while all shelving is fully adjustable and removable, allowing the storage to be tailored as needs change.

Every project we build is made to measure, ensuring every millimetre of space is used efficiently while delivering a high-quality, bespoke finish.

This week we have the pleasure of installing this beautiful reclaimed parquet flooring, originally salvaged from an old chapel. It’s an incredible product with so much character and history, and we can’t wait to see the finished result.

As part of this project, we’re also undertaking a full carpentry package throughout the property, including skirting boards, architraves, internal doors and all the finishing touches.

For us, though, the location makes this project even more special. Ever since starting SD Carpentry, I’ve always hoped we’d have the opportunity to work on a property on Down Road. It’s one of those streets that really stands out locally, so to now be trusted with a project there is a genuine pinch-me moment.

A huge thank you to our clients for putting their faith in us. We can’t wait to bring this one to life and share the finished transformation with you all.
